Key purpose of the role:Digital content producers generate and curate multimedia content for digital platforms, aiming to grow and engage online audiences while deepening their connection with the 947 brand. In line with strategy, they create content-sharing opportunities and enhance brand visibility and talkability.Key outputs/accountability:Produce exceptional visual social media content, focusing on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and website videos.Deliver content that resonates with and captures the attention of the 947 digital audience.Create social media content that effectively encapsulates the essence of the brand, ensuring alignment with the overall strategy.Work with the commercial department to execute sold campaigns consistent with the brand's identity.Provide content support to key brand marketing campaigns, enhancing their impact across digital platforms.Educational qualifications and experience:Bachelor's degree in media studies, communication, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).Three to four years of experience in digital content creation with a proven track record of success in growing audiences, particularly on social media platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.Three to four years of experience managing social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) for a brand, including content strategy, posting, and community engagement.Experience in a digital content creation environment within broadcast media.Proficiency in identifying compelling photo and video angles and editing content under tight deadlines.Experience in writing short articles, blurbs, and social copy in a consistent brand voice.Audio production experience is a strong advantage.Required skills:Comprehensive understanding of all social media platforms, with a strong focus on visual content execution – photography and video.Ability to deliver on brief and troubleshoot effectively in real-time.Understanding of SEO principles.Visual storytelling and creativity: Proficiency in crafting narratives with an eye for composition, pacing, and rhythm to engage audiences.Capability to pitch and execute creative digital content ideas efficiently.Skill in translating radio content into social media content that resonates on digital platforms.Excellent interpersonal skills.Strong networking and relationship-building abilities to develop and maintain a content database.Knowledge of current affairs, pop culture, and internet trends.Proficiency in social media reporting, with the ability to derive actionable insights from analytics.Attributes:Strong communication skills.Strong online visual sense and aesthetic.Curious, energetic, and creative with a flair for storytelling.Eager to explore new editing techniques, features, and trends, and incorporate them into brand content.Innovative and trend-spotting abilities.Flexible and adaptable.Resilient and composed under extreme pressure.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments and digital content producers.Responsible and accountable.Disciplined in meeting and exceeding deadlines.Attentive to accuracy and detail.Focused and driven.Willing to speak up when things are not working.Suitable candidates will be selected in accordance with Primedia Broadcasting's employment equity policy.
