Nutrition /B.Sc. in Dietetics DegreeCompletion of Community serviceRegistration with HPCSA as an Independent Practitioner 2024/25No experience needed after completion of community servicesGood communication skillsReport writing skillsInterpersonal, Planning, and Organisational skillsNetworking and Liaison skillsComputer LiteracyDuties:To render effective patient-centred Dietetic services for in and outpatients in adherence to the scope of practice and health protocols.Provide adequate and optimal nutritional care and education to in and out-patients within the allocated clinical workload.Liaise with members of the multi-disciplinary team ensuring that nutritional needs of patients are met.Provide education, training, and advice to other occupational classes regarding the importance of nutrition.Keep accurate stats of activities and patients treated.Ensure that therapeutic menus comply with quality standards.Implement quality assurance measures in areas of work to improve patient care.Market and promote the dietetics department and encourage research.Implement control measures to stay within the allocated therapeutic budget and asset management.Assist with compiling and implementation of operational plans.Supervise and train Dietetics students.Carry out all duties as delegated, including administrative duties to ensure quality patient care and excellent service delivery.Undergo training and development programs for self-development.Participate in Performance Management and Development Systems (PMDS).Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and comply with standards, norms and ethical requirements as set out by the HPCSA and Public Sector Code of Conduct.Notes:Applications must be submitted on the New Z83 form.
