Remuneration: R20000 – R30 000 dependent on skill set, knowledge, and experience
Purpose Of The Job: Our Client, a supplier of construction aggregates, has a fleet of heavy commercial machinery and vehicles that need maintaining and repairing. They require an experienced (All Round) Yellow Metal Diesel Mechanic to join their Team!
Duties:
Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components on Trucks, Trailers and yellow equipment
Repairing vehicle driveline, air, electrical and braking system
Diagnosing vehicle & electrical systems, Auto Elec training
Performing preventative maintenance and services on trucks, trailers and yellow machinery
Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
Attending to breakdowns and servicing
Experience:
Current Diesel Mechanic experience on Trucks and yellow equipment: Volvo, Scania, Mercedes Benz, Henred, Afrit, Alutip, CAT, Volvo, Sumitomo
Requirements:
Diesel Trade, Red Seal preferably NQF Level 6 or above in Diesel/Motor Mechanics
Code 10 or above driver's licence preferably
Diagnostic tool experience advantageous
Welding experience advantageous
Advanced experience in Auto Electrical diagnoses, repairs, and fitment of electrical equipment on Trucks and Yellow Metal
Basic hydraulic training/experience of tipper truck hydraulics and yellow equipment hydraulics
