Minimum requirements:

Trade Test - Diesel Mechanic (trucks and trailers)
Valid driver's license and own vehicle; Code 10 and Code 14 will be advantageous
Minimum of 3 years post-apprenticeship experience
Computer Diagnostic Tool experience
Experience in Volvo, Man, Nissan, and Mercedes will be advantageous
Fluent in Afrikaans and English

Responsibilities:

Work independently in the field
Plan and perform repairs using correct tools and procedures
Order and return parts for assigned jobs in a timely manner
Ability to perform preventative maintenance services
Demonstrate proper use of service information systems
Ability to diagnose correct parts that are required for repairs
Utilize power tools - drills, impact wrench, air ratchet, grinders, etc.
Perform relevant administrative duties and ad hoc administration as required
Traveling to sites will be required
Ability to perform the following tasks on basic components in work area, including engine, hydraulic, transmission, and electrical components
Completing job cards

Remuneration:
Negotiable depending on the experience + Provident Fund Contribution + Company cellphone + Company car (when on duty) + 13th Cheque in birthday month (Pro Rata)
Work hours:
Monday - Friday (except when on stand-by): 07:00 - 17:00
Overtime hours will be compensated at the appropriate rate.
Please note:
Every last Saturday of every month the entire workshop will work.
