Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic with expertise in hydraulic systems, particularly on tankers, and experience with BPW suspensions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing diesel engines and associated systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
Diesel Engine Maintenance and Repair:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including diagnostics and troubleshooting.Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.Ensure optimal performance and longevity of diesel engines through regular servicing.Hydraulic Systems on Tankers:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems specifically on tanker vehicles.Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on hydraulic components to ensure efficient and safe operation.Troubleshoot hydraulic system issues and implement effective solutions.BPW Suspension Systems:
Perform maintenance and repair tasks on BPW suspension systems.Diagnose suspension-related issues and provide timely repairs to ensure vehicle stability and safety.Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on suspension systems.General Mechanical Duties:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicle systems, including brakes, steering, exhaust, and electrical components.Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed, including parts used and labor hours.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all repair and maintenance activities.Administrative and Inventory Management:
Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used and labor hours.Prepare and submit reports on vehicle and equipment status, maintenance schedules, and repair activities.Manage inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper usage.Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for parts procurement and service arrangementsPlease send your CV to: itstaffingcapetown@gmail.com
