Seeking an Experienced Pipe Layer to Join Our Team:
As a full-time General Laborer, you will work with a crew that installs underground utilities. You will assist heavy equipment operators by performing detailed work on the ground. General Laborers are hard workers who see the details and keep their focus while they perform their jobs. With time, you will learn the industry and how to install underground utilities. The career track for a Laborer is to learn how to use heavy equipment and eventually become an operator.
Responsibilities:Experienced with sewer line installation, pressurized water lines, septic tanks, and grease trapsUse instruments such as lasers, grade rods, and transit levelsIdentify utility linesDig ditches and trenchesGrade or level trench bases, using tamping machines or hand toolsSet final trench gradeConnect pipe pieces and seal jointsRead and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activitiesBackfill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specificationsPerform sewer manhole installations to include proper joint installation & joint wrap, setting & securing a manhole frame & coverAble to use tools like tamping machines and other hand toolsRequirements:Able to follow instructionsMust be able to pass a drug screen and background checkHigh school diploma/GED preferredBasic understanding of construction principles and proceduresAble to work in hot/cold changing environmentsAble to lift heavy loads to 70 lbs.Able to navigate construction job site terrainAble to use a smartphone and related applicationsStarting at $19.00 – $20.00 per hourComprehensive healthcare planVision401K retirement savings account with company matchPaid holidaysPaid vacationsRegular performance reviewsAdvancement trainingRegular company eventsAbout Royal T:Established in 2004, Royal T is an established civil engineering contractor located in St. George.
