Diesel Mechanic

Qualified Diesel Mechanic
We are looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic with a passion for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of construction plant and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company fleet and equipment and their components, ensuring that they operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company fleet and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Replace or repair damaged components, including fuel systems, transmissions, and exhaust systems.
Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with other team players internally and externally.

Qualifications:

Relevant Diesel Mechanic qualification or certification.
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engines and systems.
Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A valid driver's license.
Fully bi-lingual (Afrikaans & English).
Certified Diesel Mechanic or equivalent qualification.
Work well under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with a variety of diesel engine brands and models.
Knowledge of advanced diagnostic techniques and repair methods.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the industry.
