Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12Must be a trade-tested commercial vehicle Diesel TechnicianAble to utilize appropriate techniques and strategies toestablish a positive image of own work areaCan make basic inferences from customer usage patternsAble to apply business principles related to own work environment.Able to deal with customers directly related to own functions/workareaAble to implement business principles in own work areaAble to identify hazards and handle them with directinstructions/guidance in placeAble to apply basic Health and Safety procedures relevant to ownwork functions under direct supervision
Responsibilities:
Conduct visual inspections and/or on board diagnosis during the pre-diagnosisReceive the workshop job card and check its content for accuracy and understandingEnsure flat rates on repairs are adhered toAttend office hour & after hour breakdownsJob card sign-offEnsure all parts used on the job are booked to the job card, ie engine oilsPrepare operating equipment and bring the necessary parts to the service bayPerform all maintenance services by manufacturers' specifications and themaintenance schedule/maintenance computerPerform all visual inspections, calibration work, adjustments etc Identify deviations, irregularities, and unusual wear and tear and initiate additions to order &feedback to the Workshop ForemanReset maintenance systems as per internal processes and procedures
