Development Officer - Schooling & Education - Alumni Engagement

The Development Officer will lead the growth initiatives and drive a comprehensive alumni engagement program at an independent international school.
This newly created position is responsible for developing strategies to secure partnerships and grant funding, leading donor recognition, and fostering a lasting connection with alumni to support the school's mission, generate goodwill, and attract potential investments.
The officer will also oversee complex projects to achieve specific funding goals outlined in the strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities Lead the school's growth initiatives and develop strategies for alumni engagement.
Secure partnerships and grant funding to achieve financial goals.
Oversee donor recognition efforts and build strong relationships with alumni.
Manage and execute complex projects in alignment with the strategic plan.
Organize fundraising campaigns, events, and outreach programs.
Analyze data to inform strategic decisions and program effectiveness.
Building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Effectively managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
Postgraduate qualification in Business Development, Education Management, or Alumni Relations is advantageous.
5 – 10 years of experience in business development, alumni relations, fundraising, or marketing, preferably within the education sector or nonprofit environment.
Experience working with alumni or stakeholder engagement programs.
Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
Solid understanding of basic fundraising principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in CRM and alumni management software.
Organized, systematic, and able to prioritize multiple projects.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgement.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
Experience Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in relevant fields with a strong emphasis on alumni engagement and business development.
