Job category: Other: FMCG, Retail, Wholesale and Supply ChainContract: PermanentRemuneration: Market RelatedEE position: YesIntroductionSPAR North Rand, a division of The SPAR Group Ltd, is recruiting for a Development Manager at its Distribution Centre, located in Olifantsfontein.PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONThe purpose of the position is to manage and facilitate new and existing store development projects to successful launches, across all SPAR formats.KEY PERFORMANCE AREASService existing and new retailers with structural and aesthetic store development, within the borders of South Africa and across the borders into neighbouring countries, within North Rand Division's portfolioDevelop and innovate strategic advancements in the field of store developmentDevelopment of new and implementation of existing store conceptsControl and manage the SPAR preferred supplier listControl and manage store project budgetsControl and manage your own budgetControl and manage the image of all SPAR stores, including Brand CI specificationsControl and manage store designers, specific to your store development projectsImplement minimum SPAR specifications, per formatImplement and adhere to SPAR national building specifications on all projectsEnsure communication between and to all departments during the lifecycle of a projectReport to management on progress of all revamped and new storesLiase and negotiate with property developers and various stakeholdersProvide leadership and guidance to the SPAR retailersAbility and willingness to travel extensively, including cross border into neighbouring countries.
