IntroductionAre you an experienced Development Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in the automotive industry? We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in the role of Development Engineer, responsible for planning, implementing, and controlling various aspects of our product development processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Management / New Product Introduction (NPI):Actively participate in cross-functional teams to analyze potential new products.Efficiently develop and introduce new products, ensuring timely completion within targeted cost.Control and review introductions, obtaining necessary sign-offs in accordance with internal procedures.Design and Innovation:Ensure product designs meet customer requirements and remain abreast of innovations in filter designs and production processes.Utilize Design Guides, DFMEAs, and Technical Standards, continuously updating them in line with industry advances.Design for manufacture, evaluate existing products, and stay updated on raw materials.Data Integrity / ECR:Manage engineering changes timeously and accurately, adhering to relevant procedures.Uphold technical standards during the Engineering Change Request (ECR) process.Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the ECR process.Project Management:Control specific projects, such as cost-down initiatives, new materials, processes, and capex projects.Develop project plans and Capex documents, ensuring effective and timely implementation.Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and approval requirements.Technical Support:Provide technical support and training on supplier development, manufacturing concerns, QA initiatives, and problem-solving.Assist Procurement & Logistics with material development and alternate suppliers.Offer continuous information on factors affecting product design, engineering services, logistics, and manufacturing.Minimum RequirementsBSc degree, B.Tech, or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.3-5 years of experience in an automotive engineering environment.Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, including design, development, and project planning.Computer Literacy: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, JDE E1.Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, IATF16949, 8D, MSA, SPC.Proficiency in core tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP.You need to be a Team Player, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, be assertive with exceptional attention to detail. Analytical, forward-thinking, and adept at on-the-spot decision-making with a hands-on approach.
