Your opportunity:

Annual and Leadership Giving team provides strategy, direction and management to the growing of U of T's annual giving programs. As a member of the annual and leadership giving team, the Development Associate will support fundraising and stewardship efforts to grow mass philanthropic engagement and individual philanthropic engagement.

Working under direction from the Executive Director, Annual and Leadership Giving and Senior Lead, Special Projects and Innovation, the incumbent will provide fundraising and development administrative support and coordination for the Annual and Leadership Giving Team contributing to the success of the ALG programs. In addition, the Development Associate, ALG will provide on-going administrative support to the Special Projects and Innovation portfolio, in support of Advancement priorities.

Your responsibilities will include: Implementing components of fundraising campaignsCollecting basic development-related informationUpdating prospect databases and portfoliosCoordinating meeting schedules, agendas, materials, action and follow-up itemsCollating briefing package materials for meetingsEssential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.Minimum three years' experience in administration, preferably in a non-profit fundraising setting.Experience in philanthropy and in other fundraising environments.Experience preparing reports from multiple data sources.Experience in conducting development-related research.Experience with scheduling and maintaining calendars.Experience implementing multi-channel solicitation efforts, including direct mail, email and telefundraising.Experience with fundraising database ARBOR or related database.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products - especially Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines.Ability to set priorities and targets and to meet deadlines in relation to frequently changing demands.Ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, sensitivity and discretion in dealing with individuals of affluence and influence.Ability to maintain rapport with potential and current donors, instructors, students and University faculty and staff in business and social settings. USW Pay Band 10 -- $69,455 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $88,819. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
