Job DescriptioniDnA is responsible for delivering a new platform capability – Master Data Management - to provide the group with the ability to manage essential master data that the Data Platform is reliant on. This new platform is being delivered on a technology (Semarchy) that is new to the group. This platform capability being deployed on Semarchy will be available for multiple master data domains (Reference Data; Products and Services; Interface Master initially) to build their requirements upon. The MDM capability team will establish the standards, assist with implementations, and support the multiple Master Data instances deployed on Semarchy and ensure the data on Semarchy is available to the Data Platform via standard guard rails. In future, this Master Data Platform can be consumed by operational consumers.Key Responsibilities:Research new technology being used in the financial sectorDevelop prototype systems on which to test and prove the new technologyMake recommendations of technology, vendors who can supply and support that technology as well as the use cases in which they can be usedMaintain and share a knowledge base of financial technology, trends, and news for the groupWhere bespoke applications are required, develop those applications to assist the treasury functions in the bankParticipate with the broader community in the development of a blockchain platform for financial systemsTechnical Skills:JavaDockerRest APISemarchy x DMPEPJob DetailsApplication Closing Date: 20/09/24All appointments will be made in line with FirstRand Group's Employment Equity plan.
