Purpose of role:The incumbent will be responsible to receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from warehouse, or storage yard. Keep records and compile stock reports. To perform a variety of duties in support of the organization's warehouse including the receipt, storage, issuance and inventory of materials, supplies, tools and equipment. Receives general supervision from the Warehouse Manager. Essential functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling or crouching for prolonged periods of time; may require lifting and carrying heavy objects. Daily planning of loads and routes ensuring best utilization and customer satisfaction. Duties Include:Adhere to Health, Safety & Quality policies and ProceduresInventory control and reportingWarehouse/ Dispatch supervision and controlSupervise appropriate human resources in respect of warehouse / dispatch receiving and issuingMust be able to stand in for the Production Supervisor at any time.Must have own vehicle to attend to breakdowns and accidents / customer complaintsCheck loads for correctness before delivery takes place.Manage the trucks condition and ensure ensure it is serviced, maintained and COF in time.Plan organise, coordinate and monitor the delivery, collection and receiving of material.Time keeping and attendance.Ensure meaningful, accurate, timeous and complete information is recorded on all documentation relative to your area of responsibility and the compilation of all performance statistics and reportsEnsure that the branch complies with all regulatory bodies and preparation for audits are completed on timeEnsure that non-conforming product is located in the correct stock allocation and facilitate the disposal when approvedComplete non-conformance reports within the required time-frameEnsure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to without compromise Minimum requirements:Grade 12Valid driver's licence and own vehicle Proven track record in Production supervision and Industrial Relations essentialAutomotive background will be advantageousSAP system experienceComputer literate (Word, Excel & Outlook)
