Mechanical Engineer Apply sound engineering principles in the development and documentation of precision parts to be used in manufacturing and engineering, including 3D design of complex tooling Key Responsibilities:Mechanical/Technical Skills:Design/ re-engineer existing products to enhance their performance, improve reliability and cost effectiveness.Thoroughly and effectively trouble-shoot problems and implement solutions of a mechanical nature.Select components, materials, finishes and shop processes necessary to meet the design requirements.Work as part of a multi-disciplinary development team to develop world-class quality output.Qualification of the suppliers related to the mechanical function. Interpretation of requirements and address design parameters and engineering problems to ensure solutions are implemented accurately.Evaluate information to determine compliance with standards.Knowledge of metals and materials used in productionSoftware and Software SkillsAutocad2D drawing and design3D drawing and designWork knowledge of Solid Works, Pro/Engineering or other similar computer aided drafting tools.Experience in mechanical vibration.Planning:Identify the requirements to complete the job.Assess and Analyse project timePrepare required material, parts and tools.Design EngineerProduct data managementCreate 3D parts and 2D part drawings to meet supplier and regulatory requirementsLiaise with overseas suppliers and customer on designsConduct concept and design reviewsSupport the day-to-day activities of customersProvide creative and technically feasible solutions for cost savings, service issues, and product improvements. Education & Experience:N Dip; B Eng Degree or B Tech Degree in Mechanical EngineeringMechanical design engineering experienceVery Good 3D CAD experience
