About the role of Design Manager: Coordinating design activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the desired quality.
Managing the design team and responsible for delivering projects in accordance with client's requirements.
Understanding and managing changes to scope, budget, and programme.
Identifying project risks and opportunities and escalating any matters to the Design Manager and site team at the earliest opportunity.
Manage the on-site delivery of projects working closely with the Project Manager and Site Managers and visiting live sites regularly.
Lead Design Team Meetings, taking minutes and reporting back to the Design Manager.
Requirements for the Design Manager role: Degree or equivalent qualification with experience working on similar projects.
Experience of working within a main contractor, developer, or consultancy.
A hard working and organised individual, who is a team player, reliable and shows initiative.
Technically minded, possesses good attention to detail and is happy visiting sites and managing the delivery of projects.
Can address, manage, and resolve design issues as they arise with the site team.
