Design Engineer (Water)

Project leader/task leader for consulting engineering in water and sanitation projectsPlanning, design, tender, and construction monitoringGeneral responsibilities related to marketing, proposals, and staff managementCollaborate with Senior Site Staff to:Manage project administrationResolve technical issues on large, multidisciplinary, multi-contract bulk water projectsPrepare and Review Technical Contract DocumentsPrepare and Review Technical Design & documentation of projects involving the conveyance and treatment of both Water and Wastewater and associated technologies (e.g. water distribution, pump stations, pipelines and treatment plants)Programme work and set productivity targets in discussion with the Project ManagerObtain and confirm acceptance of appointments in writingPrepare time/cost estimates for clients on projectsPlan and monitor progress of projectsManage and Perform design work as requiredPrepare project reports, specifications, minutes, correspondence Skills & Experience:Minimum 7-10 years relevant experienceBulk Water and Sanitation Infrastructure Design experience is a pre-requisiteExperience in both greenfield and brownfield projectsExperience with GCC2015, SABS1200 & COLTOPreparation of reports and presentationsCompetent with Civil Designer, Civil3D and AutoCAD Qualification:BEng/BSc or BTech in Civil EngineeringRegistered as a Professional with ECSA Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
