GIBB's Roads and Highways Services Delivery Unit provides a comprehensive range of services that include traditional consulting services (design, procurement and contract supervision), Public Private Partnership (PPP) solutions, and asset management services. This includes high-capacity freeways, interchanges and bridges, airport pavements, rural roads (including low volume and haul roads), and municipal infrastructure. Core Purpose
The purpose of the job is to produce technical deliverables on large scale multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects. Specific focus on civil infrastructure design using Civil Designer and/or Civil 3D is a requirement. To carry out the planning, design, site supervision, and construction monitoring for both internal and external civil municipal infrastructure (water, sewer, roads, and stormwater including stormwater management plan) for existing and new developments for both Private and Public Sector Clients. Compilation of Tender Documentation including Conditions of Contract, Specifications, Bills of Quantities, and Tender Drawings.
Key Performance Areas
Design & documentation of municipal services
Can work independently on project technical deliverables
Experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects
Experience with GCC2015, SABS1200 & COLTO
Good communication and people skills
Preparation of reports and presentations
Competent with Civil Designer, Civil3D and AutoCAD
Plan, organize and control specific technical tasks
Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System
Keep abreast of Technical best practice
Job Requirements:Qualifications:
Applicable bachelor's or BTech degree.
Registration with ECSA as a PR Eng.
Experience:
5 or more years' experience with specific Municipal Infrastructure Design experience a pre-requisite.
