Derivatives Trader

Exciting opportunity has opened up with an award-winning client team who are looking for a Derivatives Trader to join their team. Junior Traders form the stockbroking or investment banking space sought, with a keen interest in financial markets as well as having completed their JSE Trading Exam preferred. Responsibilities: Support Senior Traders, learn how trading process works, with the intention of becoming a capable and reliable trader yourselfIssue Tiered clients with efficient asset class specific market intelligence Control and carry out ordersProduce and issue maintenance research/market intelligence for Derivative desk Produce and issue new and ongoing research productsArrange and participate in regular client interactions Respond to client queries timeouslyRequirements: Minimum of a completed relevant Tertiary qualification, and completed JSE trading exam (RPE)Minimum of 1-3 years experience in stockbroking, or the investment banking spaceProficient on trading/information systems and strong ExcelHave a strong interest in financial markets, derivatives market and productsStrong work ethic, self-motivated, driven and results oriented Strong aptitude for problem solving Good time management, ability to work well under pressureExcellent communication skills, and presentationHigh attention to detail Please note that if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of your application, please consider it as unsuccessful for this particular role.
