MAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTo support the Nursing Manager in leading and coordinating safe, quality patient care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASSupport the Nursing Manager to achieve quality patient care in line with the hospital operational goals and objectivesManage patient risks to achieve patient safety in line with specified clinical outcomesEnsure a positive patient experience in line with corporate benchmarksEnsure optimal utilisation of a competent and engaged workforce and other resources in line with the relevant company guidelinesLead and manage direct reportsEstablish and manage key stakeholder relationships to achieve integrated patient care and positive clinical outcomesREQUIRED EDUCATIONESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Degree/diploma in nursing, Appropriate leadership/management qualification
REQUIRED EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years experience in a supervisory position, e.g. Unit Manager
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 – 3 years experience in a supervisory position within a specialised unit
