The incumbent should also be highly placed to contribute towards the building of a SMART university library, supporting Teaching, Learning and Research through embracing technological developments in developing digital and discovery platforms for sustainable and efficient delivery of Library and Information services to all CPUT users, the community, and our partners. Library space planning and utilization is also an important part of this portfolio to ensure the continuous relevance of learning and studying spaces throughout the CPUT Libraries system.The Deputy Library Director will also play a key role in the monitoring and evaluation of library services through surveys, analytics, and reporting. The promotion of the library services through a robust and visible communication and marketing programme will also be key to his/her duties.
