About the Role:As Deputy CTO, you will drive operational excellence within the TechLab, ensuring timely delivery of innovative solutions and fostering a high-performance culture. Partnering with the CTO, you will oversee resource allocation, project management, and team development, with a focus on open-source principles and community engagement. This role demands a strong leader with extensive software development expertise and a passion for advancing digital democracy. Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Team Development:Recruit, onboard, and mentor a high-performing team.Promote best practices, continuous learning, and innovation.Software Development Oversight:Manage all phases of the software lifecycle to deliver high-quality products on schedule.Ensure projects meet stakeholder expectations while balancing team workload.Knowledge Management and Advocacy:Maintain comprehensive documentation and share insights with the civic tech community.Foster collaboration across teams to drive innovative solutions.Partnership Engagement:Build strong client relationships and tailor solutions to meet their needs.Negotiate and implement technology agreements effectively.Administrative Duties:Manage time effectively across multiple projects.Provide guidance and support to direct reports.
