We are looking for a suitably qualified Depot Manager to join a Depot in Orange Farm. The successful candidate will coordinate the dispatch of bread and other FMCG products to customers, retail outlets, etc. The duties of the successful candidate will include but not be limited to the development of itineraries for deliveries that best meet the needs of prompt delivery, effective use of vehicles, fuel consumption, management of employees, and overall management of the depot. Strong experience in IR and Human Resources is a plus.ResponsibilitiesEnsure profitability of the Depot.Work with the team to ensure correct receipt and dispatch of bread as per SOP.Manage and monitor sales targets and market trends per channel.Ensure monthly sales and operational planning.Manage and monitor efficiencies of all warehouse products including bread returns, crates, etc.Manage and monitor site expenditure such as ordering of promotional items, consumables, fuel, overtime, etc.Prepare and analyze monthly site performance reports and identify areas for improvement.Ensure compliance with all Depot SOPs.Develop staff coaching and succession plans.Manage the security on site.Work with the Marketing Department to grow brand strategy through promotional activities and CSI initiatives.Ensure excellent customer service delivery through building and maintaining stakeholder relations in all channels.Manage relationships with Top End Grocers (TEG) customers and suppliers of products.Manage relationships with Local & Traditional (L&T) customers.Instill and manage discipline of the Depot.Ensure consistent compliance with company policies and values by all Depot Staff.Act as a Coach and Mentor to Depot Staff.Assist Sales Teams to open new routes to the market.Ensure efficient stock management systems are in place including managing returns, expired products, daily balancing, etc.Minimum Experience5-8 years relevant experience preferably in a Bread Warehouse or Depot Management.
