Granor Passi (Pty) Ltd, a leading fruit processor in South Africa, its Head Office situated in Polokwane (Limpopo), seeks to employ a Depot Manager in Cape Town Depot to promote and sell Granor Passi products, manage the administration and the logistics of the depot and drive efficiencies for Granor Passi to be competitive in the marketplace.
Position: Depot Manager Cape Town Depot
Purpose:
To promote and sell Granor Passi products, manage the administration, warehouse, stock control and the logistics of the depot, provide good customers service, implement and maintain all required processes & procedures, and drive efficiencies for Granor Passi to be competitive in the marketplace.
Responsibilities: Responsible for effective planning and distribution of products Effective deliveries in a safe and courteous manner Manage stock movement, storage, rotation and discrepancies Manage petty cash, Depot expense budget, Depot administrative activities including the Depot Cash Shop To ensure month-end procedure is completed as per financial requirements Report on stock activities, returns and expenses Overall responsibility for complying to Health and Safety standards Implementation of all Health & Safety processes and procedures Manage the staff and ensure that they are adequately trained and capable of performing their roles. Reach weekly and monthly sales targets Provide the National Sales Manager with required information to facilitate the development of commercial business for the depot. Identify potential new business and endeavour to acquire it Responsible for budgeting and forecasting of sales volumes and depot expenditure Maintain adequate stock levels and prevent any losses Drive customer service and handle Customer complaints Requirements: Relevant 3 year Tertiary qualification (specializing in sales and marketing) or BCom or B-Tech Degree or National Diploma in Marketing Prior experience in Staff and Depot Management 2 years' experience in sales in a food production environment, of which at least 1 years in marketing and sales and 1 year in a management capacity. Computer literacy (MS office, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects etc.) Valid driver's license Fluent in English Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of quality and food and safety standards i.e. ISO 9001, HACCP and FSSC 22000 Excellent people management skills Hands on approach Deadline driven and time management skills Accuracy with figures Ability to motivate employees Must have excellent sales and marketing skills Stock Control and Administrative skills Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relations. Must be able to plan, organize, control, prioritize and work under pressure A forklift license is an advantage
