The incumbent follows through with proper protocol for infection control in all aspects of clinical work, provides administrative services as directed for patients, both in person and on the telephone, accesses and enters data on the Clinic Management System in order to retrieve patient information and book appointments, and assists in special assignments and other duties that are Faculty-related.Your responsibilities will include:Scheduling appointmentsUpdating and maintaining database recordsResponding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriateAssisting faculty, dental students and technicians during treatment proceduresApplying established standards when cleaning, sanitizing and/or sterilizing facilitiesApplying established standards when administering biological and/or medical imagingProviding safety training and ensuring compliance to occupational safety precautionsFollowing rules and procedural processes related to Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA)Essential Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program, Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) and current member of the ODAA, including HARP.
