Job Description: Position: Demi Chef De Partie Pastry Key Responsibilities: Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in the preparation and production of all pastry items for the ship's restaurants and events Ensure all pastry items are prepared and presented to the highest standards Follow recipes and maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size Monitor and maintain stock levels of pastry ingredients and supplies Assist in the training and development of junior pastry team members Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new pastry items Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve pastry offerings Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef De Partie Pastry or similar role Culinary degree or equivalent training and experience Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Excellent time management and organizational skills Flexible and able to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for pastry Working Place: Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa #J-18808-Ljbffr
