About the roleYou will play a critical function in optimising inventory levels while maximising sales and cash flow for the organisation.
You'll be responsible for forecasting demand, supporting the procurement process and managing inventory across multiple locations.
This includes analysing sales data, identifying trends, optimising stock levels and collaborating with various functions across the org.
What you will doDemand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for a wide range of products, considering factors such as seasonality, promotions, and market trends.Inventory Management: Optimise inventory levels across multiple warehouses and darkstores, minimising stockouts and excess inventory.Supply Chain Planning: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective product procurement.Order Fulfillment: Monitor order fulfillment processes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and accuracy.Data Analysis: Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for improvement in demand planning and inventory management.Reporting: Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory levels, order fulfillment, and demand forecasting accuracy.Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the demand and supply planning function.What you will needBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.3 - 5 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain roles within the FMCG, Retail or e-commerce industry.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse data and draw meaningful insights.Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python and business intelligence software.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.PerksGround floor opportunity with the team; shape the strategic direction of the company.The rare opportunity to change the world around you such that everyone around you is using the product you built.
