Hire Resolve's client, a food retail organisation, is currently seeking a skilled Demand/Merchandise Planner to join their team in Paarl, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analysing sales patterns and inventory levels, ensuring that the right products are available to meet customer demand while maximizing profitability.
Responsibilities
Analyse historical sales data and forecast future demand to optimize inventory levels.
Develop and implement effective merchandise strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including buying, marketing, and supply chain, to execute merchandising strategies.
Monitor and adjust inventory based on current trends and business requirements.
Conduct inventory reviews and recommend replenishment or markdown actions when necessary.
Utilize software tools and systems for demand forecasting and inventory management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree.
At least 2-5 years of experience in demand planning or merchandise planning within the retail sector.
Advanced level Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Blue Yonder (JDA) Planning experience will be an advantage.
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
