Description/SynopsisAn excellent opportunity is available for a dedicated and detail-oriented Debtors/Creditors Clerk, with a well-established family-owned business in the retail industry. Reporting directly to the Director, the successful candidate will manage the full debtors and creditors functions, ensuring the smooth running of financial operations. If you have a strong background in bookkeeping, particularly within the retail or FMCG sector, and are looking to contribute to a thriving family business, this role is for you. Due to the nature of the industry, the successful candidate must be willing to work alternate Saturday mornings.Minimum RequirementsMatric with Mathematics and Accounting subjectsA tertiary qualification in finance or accounting is preferredExperience in managing both debtors and creditors - full functionExperience in the retail, import, FMCG, or food industryStrong numerical and analytical skillsExperience with Pastel Sage Evolution or similar accounting packagesDue to the nature of the industry, the successful candidate must be willing to work every second Saturday morning.ResponsibilitiesFull-function management of debtors and creditorsPreparation and processing of financial transactions and invoicesRegular reconciliation of accountsHandling of monthly financial reports and ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping recordsCollaborating with the Director on financial strategies and reportingEnsuring compliance with financial regulations and standardsOverseeing stock management and inventory control in relation to financial recordsAssisting with the preparation for audits and liaising with external auditors as neededSoft Skills/Additional InfoStrong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers, customers, and team membersHigh attention to detail and accuracy in all financial mattersAbility to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to work every second Saturday morning, in line with the retail environmentDesired SkillsStrong communication skillsAttention to detailAbout The EmployerDo you see yourself as the successful Debtors and Creditors Clerk at this leading Retail Company?
