DEBTORS CONTROLLER – CPT R240K p/a

Our client is a leader in the craft-liquor distribution industry. They are renowned for excellence and for delivering quality beverages. We are looking for a highly skilled Debtors Controller to join our team. The role involves overseeing the complete debtor's function, with primary responsibility for managing debtor accounts, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts, reconciling accounts receivable, and handling customer queries.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure invoicing is completed accurately and on time, in line with company policies.
• Proactively follow up with clients on outstanding debts via phone and email.
• Negotiate payment terms and conditions with customers experiencing difficulties.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers while managing their accounts effectively.
• Handle customer queries and provide prompt resolutions.
• Ensure timely settlement of accounts following agreed payment terms.
• Credit, ageing, debtors, and customer reports
• Investigating and reconciling accounts.
• Managing the debtor's book effectively and strategically.
• Delivering outstanding customer service in unity with the brand and culture of our business.


REQUIREMENTS
• Matric (Essential)
• Experience in retail debtors (non-negotiable)
• Experience in Accounting software, SAGE/Xero preferred but not essential.
• A minimum of 10 years experience in debtor control (non-negotiable)
• Previous experience in account management in the following industries - FMCG, Retail or Wholesale & distribution.
• Proven negotiation skills
