Job SummaryOur Client is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Debtors Clerk to join their team in Houghton, Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing accounts receivable, specifically with a book value of R1.5 million. This role requires proficiency in Pastel and Excel, with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable Management: Manage and maintain the debtor's ledger, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records. Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collection of payments.Invoicing & Reconciliation: Issue and reconcile invoices, statements, and payments. Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and matched to the correct accounts.Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly reports on debtors' aging, collection rates, and any discrepancies. Analyze trends and provide recommendations for improving collection processes.Customer Service: Address and resolve customer queries and disputes regarding invoices and payments in a professional and timely manner.Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations. Maintain organized and secure documentation for all debtor-related transactions.Requirements2-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably managing a book value of R1.5 million.Proficiency in Pastel and Excel is essential.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to work on a rotating schedule and Saturdays as required.Should you not receive a response from us within two weeks, please consider your application as unsuccessful.
