Our client is looking for an experienced Debtors/Administrative Clerk to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg.
Individuals who meet the below minimum requirements are invited to applyMinimum Requirements:Matric or equivalentRelevant tertiary qualificationProven experience as an Admin/Debtors Clerk or a similar roleProficiency in MS Office (especially excel) and accounting software such as Palladium AccountingStrong organisational- and multitasking abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamKnowledge of basic accounting principlesDuties will include:Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data-entry, and record-keeping.
Maintain filing systems.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statementsTelemarketing and Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries.
Provide information and support to customers.
Calling new clients to open accounts.
Building relationships with retail stores.
Do follow-up sales on Tap clientsAccounts Receivable Management: Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debtsPrepare and send out invoices, statements, and reminders to customers.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issuesDebt Collection: Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts.
Follow up on overdue accounts via phone, email, and written correspondence.
Negotiate payment arrangements with customers and ensure adherence to agreed terms.
Maintain accurate levels of all collection activities and communicationsFinancial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up to date records of all financial transactions.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processesCompliance and Record Keeping: Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Prepare and submit regular reports to managementCollaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Regional Manager and head office finance team to ensure a smooth operation of all accounting functions.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
