We are looking for a Debt Transaction Manager to join our Debt Capital Management team in Finance; as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.
As a Debt Transaction Manager, you would be supporting the execution and management of new and existing debt transactions, working closely with senior members of the team to ensure sufficient debt capital is available to fund the growing needs of the group and assisting with duties required to ensure optimal operation of funding processes on a group-wide basis.

In this role, you would be working closely with the Treasury, Financial Planning & Analytics, and Legal teams on funding-related items including, among others, covenant monitoring & forecasting, review and amendments to funding agreements, and analyzing and proposing forecasted debt drawdowns. Additionally, you would be managing drawdown processes relating to existing debt facilities and ensuring they are conducted in a timely manner.
You would also be facilitating the various debt reporting & submission requirements required under our debt facilities across markets, assisting with the efficient management and analysis of the assets and liabilities of the group, and facilitating preparation of ALCO reports, while also participating in the preparation of debt proposals, presentations, and term sheets to potential investors.
This is a Hybrid role in Johannesburg, South Africa that would allow you to work flexibly and have a great work-life balance.
Expertise Needed
Our expectation is that you have 3+ years of experience in a finance-related role within debt capital markets or structured finance, coupled with solid analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and Excel.
Additionally, you would need to have a good understanding of debt instruments, transaction execution processes, and a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
