PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The Data Visualisation Specialist will be responsible for transforming complex data sets into intuitive and visually compelling graphics that support data-driven decision-making. The role requires a mix of creativity, analytical thinking, and technical skills to create effective visual tools that communicate data insights clearly and effectively.
Requirements KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design and Build Visualisations: Develop interactive dashboards, charts, and reports using Qlikense and also MS Excel. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into actionable Visualisations. Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can be showcased visually. Data Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data presented in visual outputs by validating and cross-checking data sources. Documentation and Best Practices: Document processes, maintain a library of design templates, and uphold visualization standards across the team.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Design, or a related field. Proven experience of at least 2-3 years of experience in Data visualization, Data analysis, or a related role in a FMCG retail environment/industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., QlikSense, Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI and Qlik nPrinting). Understand Qlik data modelling for purposes and building visualisation that uphold single version of the truth Have a good working knowledge of data tables (SQL) Have an understanding of retail metrics for FMCG.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Strong attention to detail and a passion for precision. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
