Are you someone who can: Create test plans and test cases for the functionality of a system to prevent errors in the live system.Use analytics and data to solve business problems and change the world.Learn new statistical and coding techniques to find superior analytical solutions for an ever-changing environment.Dig deep within themselves to continuously remain curious, challenge the status quo and try to grow themselves to a level that is almost out of reach.Build sound relationships based on trust, openness and respect.Believe that without you, the property-analytics function won't be the best in the industry.You will be an ideal candidate if you: Have a qualification in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar.Have 2+ years as a Data Scientist doing analytical and modelling work.Have experience in Property Analytics (highly beneficial).Have coding experience in SAS, SQL and Python (a bonus).The role will perform the following functions: Ability to understand different modelling approaches as well as interpret modelling outputs. Capable of communicating these to non-technical stakeholders as well.Develop, enhance and promote predictive property-related models using SAS or other appropriate software.Research into best practices regarding the development, maintenance and use of statistical models for property-related business needs. Able to interpret how other property-related models function.Ability to identify and interpret key trends in the property market and interact with business to understand the impact of these trends and identify possible risks and opportunities.Retrieve and manipulate quantitative property-related data into an understandable format through advanced data mining and other coding techniques.Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation.Ensure compliance to legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant policies.Understand customer needs and develop or drive solutions for them.Ability to develop and implement value-adding reporting using different reporting software tools.Ensure stakeholder satisfaction by delivering a service that is consistent, seamless and error-free.Self-motivated individuals looking to find solutions to various business problems, with a keen interest in data science.Contribute towards the analytics community e.g. participate in knowledge and skills sharing.Keep up to date with the latest industry developments, improvements and trends.Identify and request relevant training interventions, workshops and seminars.Manage personal development to increase own skills and competencies.Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships within FNB and/or across the FRG.You will have access to: Opportunities to network and collaborate.Challenging working environment.Opportunities to innovate.We can be a match if you are: Curious & courageous - you're driven by always wanting to know more and learn more.Obsessed with mastery - you know what it takes to become good at what you do and are constantly pushing yourself to do it.Are you interested to take the step?
