Role Purpose This role is within the FNB Retail Data and Analytics Office. We support the business through the development of predictive and prescriptive analytics specializing in Banking Retention and Attrition in the Customer Solutions Space. Utilize your advanced analytical skills to delve into complex data sets, identifying patterns and insights crucial for retaining and engaging banking customers. Drive strategic initiatives to minimize attrition rates and enhance customer loyalty through data-driven solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative retention strategies tailored to individual customer needs, ensuring sustainable growth and success in the competitive banking landscape. Are you someone who: Is comfortable working with big and wide data, identifying trends, and analyzing target populations for actionable insights.Has a strong interest in analytics, with a focus on measuring performance and refining strategies.Has foundational technical skills with familiarity in SAS or SAS Viya, and a willingness to further build expertise.Can manage workloads under pressure and deliver results in a supportive environment.Can translate basic business needs into data solutions, with guidance, and develop creative approaches.Understands the value of testing different strategies and is eager to learn how to evaluate the effectiveness of various approaches to optimize performance.Has a desire to develop modelling skills.We'd be a match if you are: Curious & courageous – Driven by learning and willing to take action on your insights.Eager for mastery – Motivated to grow and improve your skills consistently.A team player – Values working collaboratively and building professional relationships.Emotionally intelligent – Capable of connecting with others and earning trust.Qualifications and Experience: Minimum Qualification: B Degree in Mathematical Sciences, Statistics, Actuarial Science.Preferred Qualification: Honours Degree.Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics or CVM Analytics, ideally in Financial Services or Banking.Technical expertise:Exposure to propensity model building.Familiarity with SAS or SAS Viya.Experience working with big and wide data.Experience in identifying trends, target populations, and measuring performance at a foundational level.Stakeholder engagement exposure will be beneficial.#Post
