We are currently in search of a Data Scientist to plan, build, optimise and implement innovative quantitative analytical methodologies, procedures, products and advanced mathematical models that provide analytical support and interpret insights, using advanced analytics technologies, to address business opportunities and problems and implement business strategy.
Are you someone who wants to: Leverage data science tools and techniques to optimize collections processes, identify risk patterns, and support data-driven decision-making to improve customer experience, maximise recoveries, and minimise losses in early-stage collections.Key Responsibilities a. Analytics and Model DevelopmentDevelop and implement predictive models and analytics to identify customers at risk of arrears and optimise collections strategies.Apply advanced statistical, quantitative, and statistical techniques to develop core analytical capabilities.Test, validate, and challenge current models to ensure accuracy and relevance of outputs.Conduct data manipulation and analysis to proactively identify business needs and opportunities.Translate technical data insights into practical solutions addressing collections optimisation.b. Data Handling and GovernanceConduct data wrangling to identify and address imperfections in data quality.Ensure adherence to data privacy legislation, policies, and governance requirements.Report and escalate information privacy incidents, ensuring compliance with audit findings and privacy standards.Document, audit, and validate models and data processes.c. Reporting and VisualisationsCreate and present clear, actionable reports and visualisations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Use data insights to monitor and enhance customer experience while identifying monetization opportunities.Develop performance metrics and dashboards to track key indicators in collections strategies.d. Business CollaborationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure analytics align with business objectives.Work with stakeholders to define data requirements, create delivery plans, and track the implementation of strategies.Serve as a subject matter expert in analytics, providing input on operational decisions and supporting data-driven innovations.e.
