Your Contribution
As a Data Science Application Developer, you will combine your data science and application development expertise to design, build, and deploy robust, scalable, and user-friendly applications that leverage data to generate insights and solve business problems. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to translate data-driven models into practical applications and product features that add customer value.
Your Day-to-Day Tasks
Application Development: Design, build, and maintain applications that leverage data science models, ensuring scalability, performance, and robustness.
Data Science Integration: Collaborate with data scientists to understand, implement, and optimize machine learning and statistical models within applications.
System Architecture: Develop and maintain system architectures that support data ingestion, processing, and storage and integrate with existing infrastructure.
UI/UX Design: Develop intuitive and accessible user interfaces for applications, enabling non-technical users to derive insights from data science models.
Testing & Deployment: Perform unit and integration testing, automate testing pipelines, and manage application deployment in cloud or on-premises environments.
Code Optimization: Write and optimize efficient, reusable, and reliable code to improve application performance.
Documentation: Prepare technical documentation and user guides for both developers and end-users.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Your Skills & Qualifications
REQUIRED
Programming Skills: Experienced in Angular, TypeScript, React, or similar frameworks. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
Machine Learning & Data Science: Understanding of machine learning algorithms, model training, and validation processes; familiarity with libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn.
Database Management: Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB), as well as data management tools (e.g., ETL processes).
Application Frameworks: Familiarity with web application frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask) and RESTful API development.
Cloud & DevOps: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools like Docker is a plus, as is knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
Data Visualization: Proficiency in data visualization tools such as D3.js, Plotly, or similar, and experience translating complex data into clear visuals.
Version Control: Proficiency with Git or similar version control systems.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex software issues.
Soft Skills: Strong skills in Collaboration, Ownership, and Accountability, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and take responsibility for project outcomes.
NICE TO HAVE
Back-End Services: Proficiency in Node.js.
Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Terraform for managing and provisioning cloud infrastructure.
Big Data Technologies: Experience with big data processing tools is a plus.
Exposure to ML & NLP: Exposure to deep learning models and natural language processing (NLP) is advantageous.
