Data Modeller

Our client, a giant in the Financial Services industry, is looking for a Data Modeller Specialist (12 months Fixed Term Contract) that will drive improvement of data management maturity levels and provide the necessary technical expertise in order to support reliable and effective decision-making, appropriate usage and protection thereof.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Informatics, Computer Science or Information Management or equivalentA minimum of five to eight years' experience in a data management environmentResponsibilitiesDesign and implement data modelling solutions which include but are not limited to the use of relational, dimensional and NoSQL databasesDevelop and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models as required by our client's business units and their various programmesIdentify and adopt an enterprise data model as a standard for data model designs to leverage best practice and fast track modelling effortsMonitor, measure and report the data modelling and data development quality levels to ensure the correct information is captured on business requirementsAssume the key responsibility for remediation of data models and data development issuesPerform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scriptsEnsure that the coverage of entities necessary to respond to the business requirement are accounted for in the data modelsDevelop and manage stakeholder relations effectively to promote data modelling awareness across the organisation and support reliable decision makingDeliver test scripts for the data models and see the data models through implementationDeliver all the necessary supporting documents relating to data modellingCompetenciesAnalysis and problem solvingEffective communicationPlanning and organisingService and stakeholder focusConceptual thinkingDrive for resultsAttention to detail
