Data Mining Analyst
Minimum Requirements:

Essential: Grade 12.
Essential: Relevant B Degree or Diploma (Computer Science, IT, Business, Statistics).
3-5 years of relevant data analytics experience with specific exposure to business process / retail reporting.
2 years of report development and data-driven solutions experience.
Exposure to management of risk and compliance.
Retail Management experience.
Computer literacy (Unisolv, BI, Excel & PowerPoint).
SAP Business Object.
Desirable: Knowledge and application of SQL.
Analytical skills.
Report writing skills.
Numerical skills.
Presentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong client orientation.
Self-directed and able to work independently.
Planning and organizing skills.
Trend and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities:

To perform detailed analyses of data and present the information in a clear, tangible, and consistent manner to measure operational performance against set objectives and identify improvement opportunities.
To produce and schedule high-priority recurring and ad-hoc reports to address business concerns and enable initiatives.
To contribute to improving data quality and assist in storing and sharing knowledge and information related to operations best practices and processes to improve efficiency.
To provide analytical support of actual results against budget and feasibility of proposed business strategies.
To manage multiple systems for effective reporting and analyze data to support continuous operational improvement. This includes developing and designing reports and processes with which operations will be able to make decisions and improve operational outcomes.
To support the store operations teams in identifying efficiencies, cost-saving initiatives, process improvements, and emerging risks at the store level through store visits, analysis, investigating potential solutions, and ensuring timely and effective implementation thereof.
To create compliance reports that identify discrepancies with business policies and procedures.
To interact directly with business stakeholders to design and implement audit analytics solutions.
To facilitate interviews and workshops, as necessary, to evaluate workflow processes and solution requirements.
To effectively engage with key individuals in solution discussions to resolve issues regarding audit and controls analysis, data access, and reporting.
