Role Overview:The Africa Data Management and Automation Lead will spearhead the strategic development and implementation of data management solutions and automation processes to support the various principals across Africa. This role requires expertise in data analytics, business intelligence, and proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Power BI, to drive operational efficiencies.Key Responsibilities:Data Management and Visualization:Design and implement advanced data management frameworks to integrate, process, and visualize data from various sources, ensuring data quality and accessibility.Develop sophisticated business intelligence solutions, including Power BI dashboards and reports, to support strategic decision-making across the business.Lead the full end-to-end data warehouse architecture development, from requirements gathering to maintenance, ensuring solutions are fit for decision-making.Automation and Innovation:Drive the automation of data processes to enhance efficiency, reduce analytical burdens, and accelerate data delivery across the organization.Innovate through effective data modeling techniques and the adoption of new technologies, keeping the organization at the forefront of data capabilities.Conduct periodic checks and monitoring of data quality and dashboard usage, utilizing automated scripts and programming checks, to maintain high standards of data integrity.Training and Development:Coach and mentor team members on the latest technology, data visualization tools, and development practices to enhance team capabilities.Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization.Stakeholder Engagement:Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to elicit requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.Establish strong relationships with key external partners, including research agencies, to ensure excellent project delivery and data integration.Preferred qualifications & experience:Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Required skills & competencies:Extensive experience in the complete information system development lifecycle, with a focus on business intelligence, data visualization, and dashboard/report development.Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, with advanced skills in Power BI, as well as knowledge of QlikView, QlikSense, R Shiny, or similar tools.Experience with database and cloud solutions (e.g., Snowflake) and a strong understanding of data warehouse architecture.Demonstrated ability to think creatively to deliver outcomes that exceed client needs and expectations.Soft Skills:Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage with all national team members.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.A collaborative team player with a supportive and knowledge-sharing approach.How to apply :Please send your application to ****** with the subject line : " DATA MANAGEMENT AND AUTOMATION " , no later than July 12, 2024.
