Our client in the banking industry is looking for a Delivery Lead (Technology Team Lead) in the area of Data Engineering.The purpose of this role is to provide directions and lead a data warehouse team responsible for the full product lifecycle of the software components in the central warehouse, to ensure successful delivery of the required functionality and maintenance related tasks within Bank Data Operations.Oversee the ongoing drive to increase efficiency, optimisation, innovation, and people development in these environments.In addition, to act as competency lead for the Data Engineering function in the Client Value product line.Minimum ExperienceGrade 12 National Certificate / VocationalAt least 5 to 7 years' engineering experience in data warehouse software development or at least 4years engineering and 2 years' experience in leading a technical team.Experience in warehousing, databases, and stored procedure developmentStakeholder relationship engagement and managementResponsibility for delivery in a fast-moving environmentIncident and Problem managementWork allocation, priority setting and delivery managementBanking industry experienceBusiness analysis and designProject Management principles and methodologiesSystems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Technology requirements: SQL, AWS Redshift, Airflow, Control M, Power Bi, JiraQualifications (Ideal or Preferred)Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology - Computer Science or Information Technology - ProgrammingKnowledgeKimball methodologyWarehouse data processingAgile principles and methodologiesGeneral business acumenBanking industryBudgeting and accounting principlesBusiness analysis and designProject Management principles and methodologiesSystems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)General:Conditions of Employment: Clear criminal & Credit recordOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
