Responsibilities: Improve the processes and practices the team followPro-active in seeking out issues to improve code quality Ability to pay attention to both functional and non-functional requirements Keeping up to date with new technologies within the data landscape Ensuring data quality, performance, and reliability through automated testing, monitoring, and proactive issue resolutionCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, deliver data solutions, and optimize processes Qualifications and Experience: Degree in Statistics/Computer Science/ Engineering/ Mathematics (or combination of)8+ years relevant experienceExcellent understanding of relational databases, SSIS/SSAS/SSRS and the features available within SQL Server, proficiency using SQL Server in a highly transactional environmentAdvanced knowledge and understanding of TSQL, query plans and the RDBMS Engine which enables you to identify and resolve complex performance and concurrency issuesCan model data given requirements and is able to give recommendations on how systems can be designed to allow for future development Strong understanding of DevOps principles and experience with relevant tools e.g.
Azure DevOps for CI/CD, automation, GIT and infrastructure management Considers non-functional requirements when developing or reviewing code (Security, Archiving, etc.)
Knowledge of other programming languages e.g.
