Data Centre Facilities Manager

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Data Centre Facilities Manager to oversee the operational management of their data centre facilities.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and extensive knowledge of data centre infrastructure, ensuring the centre operates at peak efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities : Lead and manage the operation and maintenance of all data centre facilities, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Develop and implement strategies to ensure 24/7 operations, system redundancy, and disaster recovery.
Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracts to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) for equipment and facility maintenance.
Conduct regular audits of the facility to identify risks and ensure uptime and reliability.
Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to optimize infrastructure performance.
Ensure health and safety standards are met and all regulatory compliance requirements are adhered to.
Prepare and manage the annual budget for the data centre, controlling costs while maintaining operational efficiency.
Requirements Key Requirements : Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related technical field.
8+ years of experience managing facilities, with at least 4 years in a data centre environment.
Proven track record in managing data centre infrastructure and ensuring high availability.
In-depth knowledge of critical systems (UPS, generators, HVAC, fire suppression).
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Preferred Certifications : Data Centre Design Awareness Certified Data Centre Management Professional (CDCMP) Project Management Professional (PMP)
