Job Title: Data Center Architect

Job Purpose:
The Data Center Architect is responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and managing data center infrastructure and services in accordance with business requirements. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to assess needs, develop strategies, and deliver scalable and efficient data center solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Planning:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data center architecture designs.
- Develop comprehensive data center plans, including physical layout and infrastructure requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation for data center design, protocols, procedures, and configurations.

2. Implementation and Management:
- Lead and oversee the implementation of data center projects, ensuring they are delivered within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure data center resilience.
- Oversee data center operations, including security monitoring, access controls, and environmental controls.

3. Technical Leadership and Support:
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data center staff members.
- Collaborate with project teams to define technical requirements and determine the most appropriate data center solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Data Center Architect, Data Center Engineer, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, hybrid environments, and emerging data center trends.
- Relevant certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Data Center Networking Infrastructure Design (DCID), are a plus.
