About the job Data Capturer and Filing AdministratorJob purpose:The Data Capturer will be responsible for the capturing of data from various source documents into the computer system for storage, processing and management purposes.Duties / responsibilities:Entering and updating information into relevant databases.Ensuring data is backed up.Scanning documents into electronic format or filing paper documents into storage systemsEntering data into computer databases and maintaining records of stored filesProcessing insurance claims by entering data into an automated systemReviewing documents for accuracy and ensuring they are ready to be filed with the court or other authorityContacting clients to gather additional informationMaintaining the security of confidential information by following data security proceduresReviewing documents for scanning errors such as smudges or lines, and rescanning them if necessaryReads the information and keys the data to the necessary fields.Responsible for storing and filing completed information and maintaining records of work tasks and completed documents.Performs many different administrative tasks such as word processing, filling out paperwork, and maintaining records and filesCorrecting errors and organizing the information in a manner that will optimize swift and accurate capturing.Required skills / attributes:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
