PwC has an exciting opportunity for a Data Architect who has extensive working experience within the financial services space. This role will give the successful incumbent an opportunity to work on innovative projects while leveraging new and advanced technologies to drive transformative solutions.
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our client enterprise-wide Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Fabric solutions. You will play a critical role in ensuring data consistency, quality, and accessibility, while supporting strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Qualifications / Certifications required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and/or related field
Relevant certifications in MDM, data management and/or related areas - advantageous
Experience required:
Minimum 10 years experience in data architecture roles
Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level data management solutions
Relevant working experience in Banking / financial services
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and best practices.
Proficiency in data integration, data modeling and data warehousing.
Experience with MDM tools and platforms (Informatica, IBM Infosphere, Talend)
Familiarity with data fabric technologies and solutions (Microsoft Fabric, Denodo, Talend Data Fabric)
Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (preferably Azure and AWS)
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Proven ability to lead and manage projects effectively
Responsibilities of role:
MDM Solution Design and Implementation:
Design and implement robust MDM solutions to ensure accurate, consistent, and complete master data across the organisation
Develop and enforce data governance policies and standards
Data Architecture:
Design and implement a scalable and flexible data fabric architecture to support seamless data integration, access, and management
Ensure data fabric solutions align with business goals and technology advancements
Data Quality and Governance:
Establish data quality frameworks and processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of master data
Collaborate with data stewards and business units to enforce data governance policies and procedures
Integration and Interoperability:
Oversee the integration of MDM and data solutions with existing systems and applications
Ensure interoperability between various data sources and platforms
Technical leadership:
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the data management team and other stakeholders
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in data management and architecture
Project management:
Lead and manage MDM and data projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and deliverables
Travel Requirements: Up to 20%
