Role PurposeThe Data and Campaign Manager is responsible for driving customer engagement through the strategic execution of targeted campaigns. By designing and managing effective Customer Journeys and overseeing the direct marketing calendar, they enhance brand interaction and foster customer loyalty. Leveraging deep expertise in customer segmentation and marketing channels, they deliver personalised and impactful experiences that optimize engagement and business growth.Role DescriptionOversee customer journey mapping for direct marketing campaigns across all direct channels, including Email, SMS, App Push, and WhatsApp, ensuring cohesive and effective communication.Assign customer target files to deals and creative assets to deliver personalized and relevant customer experiences.Manage the direct marketing calendar for specific banners, ensuring optimal customer engagement while minimizing opt-outs and fatigue.Collaborate with business stakeholders on upcoming brand campaigns, ensuring customer communications are strategically aligned and integrated into the marketing calendar.Track and report on campaign performance against objectives outlined in briefs, providing guidance to stakeholders on processes, best practices, and insights into customer behaviour and engagement.Develop and document roadmaps for:Direct business processesA/B testing strategiesPromotions that drive success through direct communication channels.Manage automated lifecycle campaigns to maximize customer engagement and sales at various touchpoints.Conduct A/B testing across campaigns to identify the most effective strategies for driving customer conversions aligned with business goals.Ensure all campaigns adhere to current best practices and legal compliance, including POPIA regulations.Qualifications and experience+2 years experience in a similar capacity or role with a strong marketing background along with demonstrable experience working with and building customer segmentation – (essential)Proven hands-on experience in enterprise bulk marketing systems such as SAP Marketing Cloud, Watson Campaign Automation, SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Braze etc. – (essential).Knowledge of setting up customer surveys and reporting on them – (essential).Knowledge of direct marketing principles and best practices – (essential).Familiarity with direct marketing analytics – (essential).Our Group is committed to creating, embracing, and preserving a diverse workplace that values the unique talents, perspectives, backgrounds, and abilities that enrich our organisation.
