WHAT WILL YOU DO?As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and analysing data to provide actionable insights for business decision-making. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilising data visualisation tools like Power BI. The primary focus will be on ensuring data accuracy, developing insightful reports, and contributing to the optimisation of data-related processes. Your analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex findings will be crucial in this role. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESData Extraction and Transformation:
Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources for analysis.Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze large datasets to derive meaningful insights.Create and maintain interactive and insightful reports using Power BI.Collaboration:
Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to optimize data structures.Work closely with business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements.Quality Assurance:
Implement data quality checks and ensure the integrity of analytical outputs.Identify and rectify discrepancies in data sources.Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices.Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.Provide self-service BI training to end-users.Documentation:
Document data processes, transformations, and analytical methodologies.Maintain documentation for future reference and team collaboration.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEAnalytical Skills:
Proficient in analysing complex datasets and extracting meaningful insights.Ability to translate business requirements into actionable analytical tasks.Technical Proficiency:
Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.Experience with data visualization tools, preferably Power BI.Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and structures.Statistical and Mathematical Skills:
Solid understanding of statistical methods for data analysis.Ability to apply mathematical concepts to solve analytical problems.Programming Skills – advantageous:
Basic programming skills (Python, R) for data processing and analysis.Familiarity with scripting languages for automation.Communication Skills:
Excellent communication skills to convey complex data findings in a clear and concise manner.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Problem-Solving Abilities:
