Data Analyst

Our client, a well-known South African company in the financial services sector, is on the search for a Data Analyst to develop, manage, and monitor relevant reporting models, provide advanced analytical support, critically analyze and advise the department on data-driven insights and trends, and create and maintain accurate data, dashboards, and management reports.Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Performance Areas:Prepare and circulate all daily reports to relevant stakeholdersManage system/technical issues by logging service desk tickets with ITTrack all system/policy/operational changes madeCompile Month End reports and distribute in a timely mannerEnd to end system testingMonthly analysis on key Credit Risk areasUse SQL to extract and analyze data to make data-driven, actionable recommendations about how to improve policies and processesWork closely with the Data Science team to price and implement Machine Learning or AI models that optimize portfolio outcomesAutomation of reports and processesDesired Experience & QualificationRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Science, or similarHonours degree preferredProficiency in SQLAdvanced Excel5 years' experience in Data Analytics, Modelling, & ReportingCredit Underwriting would be an advantage
